It's time to READ!!
From March 9th to March 25th, our Colfax students will be logging their minutes and trying to raise $15,000 to refresh our library and fund important enrichment programs and staff. We can do it, Colfax!
This year Colfax students aren't just reading for individual glory, they're also part of a reading TEAM (their class!) - and we have lots of prizes to make it fun for everyone!
LIBRARY BOOK DEDICATIONS: Every student who raises $25 or more will have a book in our library dedicated to them for all to see when they check it out!
IN-N-OUT LUNCH PARTY RAFFLE: Every student who raises $25 or more will be entered in a raffle to win an In-n-Out Lunch in the Library with 5 friends.
WHOLE CLASS PRIZES:
- THE CLASS with the highest average number of minutes read per participating student will receive the famed Read-A-Thon engraved trophy, a year of bragging rights, and a BIG TREAT PARTY!
- THE CLASSES in EVERY GRADE with the highest average number of minutes read per participating student will also get a TREAT PARTY!
- If every student in a CLASS logs minutes (even just once!) EVERYONE in that class will receive a WORLD FAIR GAME TICKET!
INDIVIDUAL READER PRIZES:
- The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place readers with the overall highest number of minutes read in the ENTIRE SCHOOL will receive a personalized TROPHY and a Barnes & Noble GIFT CARD - 1st place $25, 2nd place $15, and 3rd place $10!!
- The top readers of EACH GRADE will receive a personalized MEDAL!!
- The top readers of EACH CLASS will receive a PRIZE RIBBON!!
- Everyone who reads over 1,000 MINUTES will earn a special 1,000-minute club pencil!!
